Fun
Activities
Since 1984, countless families have included
a visit to Sugargrove Tree Farm in their Christmas
season traditions. Many of their most delightful
Christmas memories include the discovery of
the perfect Christmas tree at our tree farm.
We invite you to visit us and start your own
family tradition and happy memories.
The
fun begins with the wagon ride into the fields.
Families wracked with indecision often spend
hours deciding on the perfect tree while others
find it right away. When your family has made
a decision and you have cut the tree with
saws we provide, one of our friendly drivers
will come to the field to pick you up along
with your tree, and return you to our heated
barn for a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie.
We'll unload your tree from the wagon, shake
the dead needles out and bale it up to make
it easier for you to get your tree home and
set up. While warming up by the wood-burning
stove, you can read the imaginative Christmas
stories written by local school children.
Beautiful wreaths and door swags are conveniently
on display for your easy selection.
Wagon
rides, saws, tree shaking, baling, hot chocolate,
cookies and loading assistance are customer
services we provide at no additional cost.
Tree
Types
We grow four species of trees for use as Christmas
trees: Scotch
Pine, White
Pine, Fraser
Fir and Canaan
Fir. You don't need to know what you want
when you arrive. We have samples of each species
available, and we will be happy to help you
decide which tree would be perfect for you
and your family.
Convenience
of Pre-Cut Trees
For those who do not wish to make a trip on
the wagon to the field, pre-cut trees are
available close to the barn for your convenience.
We cut these trees weekly so that you can
be sure that your pre-cut tree is as fresh
as if you cut it yourself.
Live
Trees
We also have five species of trees available
that are dug and ready for planting in your
yard after the holidays are over. Those species
include White
Pine, Norway
Spruce, Colorado
Blue Spruce, Fraser
Fir and Canaan
Fir. We will provide you with instructions
for having the tree in your house as well
as planting guidelines.
